To give you a little bit of background, I worked for many years in the service industry dealing face-to-face with customers. I know what it is like to have to solve all your service/product related queries and problems. I have been shouted and sworn at and made to feel like the most pathetic and insignificant human being on this planet. I have also built solid relationships with my clients and established a good name for myself in the retail industry.
Currently, I am one step away from dealing with customers face-to-face as I now work online for an up and coming IT company. They specialise in all things to do with Social Networking, specifically Facebook. My job is to keep our customers happy and coming back to use our product. I also have some hand in the aquisition of new customers.
In my spare time I surf the web, connecting with friends on my Facebook profile, researching interesting topics, Stumbling, Googling and now, blogging. I see blogging as something that should be treated seriously therefore, although I am doing it mostly for fun, I don't want to be one of those people that writes about their everyday life and other such trivial matters.
I feel that I have some good insights into the Internet, Social Networking and other technological topics, and, from a person who has learned all of this from trial-and-error, I feel that it may be worth sharing it with those of you who do not have this knowledge and who may not be in a position to learn in the same way that I did.
Therefore I have titled my blog "It's right in front of you", as, I believe, all that you need to know is exactly there- right in front of you. It's only a Google or a click away.
Knowledge is power. Arm yourself. It's a war out there and you need to know as much as you can to keep yourself safe.
